I found a job posting online and I applied for it. Within 2 hours I had a recruiter, by the name of Kerissa Schartner, call me to say she is VERY interested and has a couple jobs she wanted me to interview for. She told me to come down to the office ASAP so that no one else would be placed in these positions. I dropped everything I was doing and ran down to talk to her. It was a nightmare from the minute I walked in the door. The 'receptionist' was completely rude to me and argued with Kerissa Schartner in front of everyone.
When I interviewed with Kerissa Schartner, she had the most negative attitude that I have ever been around. She wanted to know why I moved to the city I am living in and I told her that I moved to be closer to family. She laughed and said "Why? That place is horrible". She then told me that my resume was bad and wouldn't get me a job anywhere (why did she call me then based off of my resume). She told me that she needed me to re-do my resume and take the online test so that she can send me out to interview.
I went home and completely re-did my resume how SHE wanted it and I waited the rest of the day for the tests. I never received anything.
One of my references called me and stated that a very rude lady from AppleOne called him and she wanted to know all the negative things about me. He was the only reference called because he is the owner of a company and they wanted to sale him services. When I called to follow up with Kerissa Schartner, she told me that not ONE single reference had anything positive to say about me. All the references I gave her are people I have known for years and have excellent standings with. I debated with her for a moment and she kept up that no one had one good thing to say about me.
I called back and spoke to the branch manager, Jennifer Stewart, and she said that she could not give out who they contacted because it's confidential (hello, I was the one that gave them the contacts). She then told me that I would not be placed in any of their positions.
The one reference they called and myself both filed complaints to AppleOne regarding their actions. It has been three weeks and no one has contacted us regarding our complaints.
All I can say is that AppleOne is a VERY crooked company and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. The recruiters are fake and they lie. The company doesn't even have positions to fill. They just keep re-posting old positions over and over to get people to come in and give up their information.
Do NOT trust these people. Because of AppleOne I am extremely afraid of even trusting other staffing agencies because of how they treated me. Stay far away from this company, they are bad news and they need to get what they deserve.
