I wish I would have seen these reports early enough so I wouldn't have to write one myself. I responded to ad posted on jobing.com stating, "Need 18-25 people to start immediately. No experience need will train. 40k to start."
An interview was done over the phone by Chakka and then I was invited in for an interview in person. At the end of the first interview I was invited to the second interview which was a group interview with about 13 people. At the second interview we were told by the owner of the company, Curtis, that we were all hired and we will start Tuesday at 9 A.M.
On the first day he had us take notes on what was to come for that week. He then gave us 24 bottles of perfume and cologne and sent us out in groups of two to sell his product. When we returned to the office we informed him that we sold nothing and he told us that we had to sell 15 bottles by the end of the week.
We asked Curtis since we were hired to be managers do we have to sell any bottles to get the 200-400 dollars he promised to pay us a week to get paid and he assured us that we will still get paid whether we sold anything or not, but the first week is the holding week. When Friday of the second week came he did not pay us and never mentioned pay to us; however, he told us that we will have to sell 40 bottles for that week and he will pay us 125 dollars for that week.
On one occasion Curtis left his two kids at the office, one whom is mentally handicap, for us to baby sit while he was running around town. When he returned to the office he told us that we would have to sell the product that night on our own time.
Curtis told us that 500 dollars of that money was going to be invested into another investment, in which I found out was also a prymaid scheme, that his business partner Radica came up with.
Curtis stated to us that there are two types on management positions. One is the 40k a year and the other is POA, piece of the action. He mention to us that there is a contract that we have to sign for the 40k in which he always say he left at home so he can't show it to us.
The POA is when you basically invest your own money into the business. During training he will try to convince you to not take the 40k but will tell you that you will have to sell 50 bottles to get out of training to get into the POA program and if you quit you can be easily replaced.
I have not yet been paid by the company and whenever pay is mentioned, Curtis will avoid the conversation.
