After reading others reports, I was so irritated, I wanted to write my own! When i think about it, i guess it did all start when I moved in.

I signed my lease in june 06. When looking at the apt. Then, I could see the door to the balcony didn't have a lock (I live on the 1st floor!) some kitchen drawers were missing, & the bedroom window doesn't have a screen nor does it have a lock. When I asked about these problems, the landlord, VINCE, told me not to worry they could have them fixed before i move in. HAHA i'm still waiting! I had my dad come fix the balcony door for me.

Little did I know that was the least of my problems to come. After a month of living there, I noticed the cement wall in the living room has cracks in it, i can hear everything my neighbors do! My oven didn't work either. We called everyday for 4 days, then they came to fix it.

Fast forward to Dec. 07... My heat broke in the begining of the month, I called them the 1st day @2pm, they told me it was a little late to come fix it & they would try tomorrow! The next day I called and they said they knew about it & were trying to get someone over there. Nothing! The next day my husband called & they said "your not the only one without heat" and hung up on him! Now i'm pissed! I call them and told them I'm calling the health dept.

I called the health dept. And they came the next day. The man took the temp.in my living room, & said it was inhumane living conditions. He called the office & said if it was not fixed in the next 24hrs. They would get a $2,500 &$500 every day after, if not fixed. Surprise! Not even 20mins. Later someone came to fix my heat, but not even a week later my heat was broken again! I called the office this time it took 3 days to fix it, i told them on the third day the inspct. Was coming to do his follow up (maybe thats y they came so quickly) they fixed it but it was very loud, I can't complain cause it's heat. But the man who fixed it said it needed a new fan blade and he would order it &it should be here within 3 days. He never came back!

Now it's the end of Jan.& my heater doesnt work, 2 days this time. I called in Dec. To get $ off my rent, seeing how I didn't have heat for half the month. They told me to call the washington office about it. Washington told me it's the other's job to take care of that. My calls were never returned. So then I called at the end of Jan. After the third time my heat didn't work &was put on hold for 5mins, someone picked up and said" oh your still holding for her? Well you can leave her a voicemail"she called me back an hour or so later & said she didn't understand what I was saying. WHAT? I think i was pretty clear in my message, I want $ off my rent!!! So she said she would call me back about it. Nothing.

It's now Feb. 4th and I'm going to call today& demand some answers, no "hold or we'll call you back!" More things about this site is the side steps don't have a light, I called but nothing was done! My mother fell down the steps a couple days ago because they don't salt them or have a light there (she ended up having blunt trauma and contusion of arm) The apt. Guide says secure building, really? The side door is on the ground! Parking lot is never plowed or salted. Trash is over flowing both dumpsters into the parking lot! (Maybe cause the truck can't get in the lot without taking out a car or 2) The apt below us is boarded up, y i couldn't tell you. (only guesses) This is a hellhole never rent from these people! Anywhere u see 412-441-1400 run as fast as you can the opposite direction!!!
