Our landlord refuses to fix our heat... We have been going back and forth with him since 12/2... He wants to blame us for breaking the furnace... And why would we want to live with no heat?..
He has had 3 different repairmen come out with 3 different stories... The first came and just looked at the furnace and turned up the blower... Said that was the problem... It wasnt... The next one came out and said we needed a new furnace but knew the landlord would not replace the old one... The last guy came out 1-5-10 and said it was the compressor... And we have not seen or heard from anyone since...
All we want is the heat fixed... It has gotten as cold as 54 in the house... We have spent at least 14 nights at my daughters house since 12/2 because of no heat...
We have had nothing but problems since the night we moved in. No air was the first issue mid june... Then we had a sewage problem for 2-3 months he doesnt want to pay to fix anything... Wish i would have checked with the neighbors before we rented... Found out the house was condemned earlier in the yeatr... We moved here from ilinois so didnt have much time to check anything out... And we even paid rent for a month and a half before we moved in...
So please watch out for this realty company and this person... He is definately a slumlord and to read his e-mails he sends about the heat issue you would wonder where he got his degree... Any property he has to rent would be questionable in my eyes and hope nobody has to go through what we have gone through in the past 7 months
