Might I begin with the fact that this Brea, CA office address is NOT registered under the BBB. The Brea address posted on their website is different than the actual location.
I joined the company a week and a half ago, and with all the excitement in the world I paid the $100 dollars and despite a few negative opinions from people, I kept my hopes up. I always wondered, however, how and why can a company so large or a company of any size hire random people and give them a job that will allow a 6 figure income "in their first year" and only require them to be 18 years old and have a clean record? Who does that! (BTW they had a 17 yr old as an associate)
Well here are some odd things I have noticed, next to all the reports I have read about this company that cleared up the "fog" as they always said in their SCRIPTED speeches.
I was asked to bring my fiance so they could "educate" him about what his wife to be will be doing as a career so he will be aware of whats going on and whats gonna happen... Never knew they would sucker him into it and I was never told they wanted him to come to the seminar to be a potential associate.
I received two CD's from them, one was a "WFG welcome" CD and the other was a "scripting, setting appointments, and the 8 speed filters" CD. Both were motivational CD's and although it was all fine and dandy, I did notice that every time the speaker "Ed Mylett" mentioned the company's name, it was EDITED!!! Completely cut out and replaced with a similar voice that said "WFG"... So I thought to myself... How can a company so LARGE and SO powerful not be able to afford their own personalized material?
Still I listened and waited for the next bomb to drop.in the seminars, I had one person say that the company was larger than coca-cola and that it has been in business for 17 years. Another said 10 years and a third one said 16 years (at different times). Now I have read some of what people have posted on this usacomplaints.com site, and I came across an employee who rebutted a report and said the business is only 7 years old and someone else who said according to BBB report, the company was born in 2003 and has 350 employees. 350 employees and they are global???
During my only training session, one of the new-B's asked the "instructor" what position he holds in the company... The guy was almost too quick to avoid the question and after a few more questions to narrow his options, he finally said "I'm a broker" which in their terms means that he makes 45% commission. NOW, to make 45% commission all the new-B's have to do is get 10 recruits and 10 applications in 30 days. This guy has been working there for 2 years and he is a "broker", yet they make it possible for new-B's to make climb up to his level in just one month?
Finally, my recruiter says she's been working there for only 4 months... She also says she will be at the "broker" level by the end of this month (which is in one day)... So how does a 4 month old employee overtake a guy working there for 2 yrs? She also has her own office, she hires people, and she's one of the speakers... Naturally, I'm thinking she is pulling my chain and she has been there longer than 4 months, but that's just me.
Regardless, scam or not (and I vote in favor of a scam!) I'm not going to be a part of a company who brainwashes their employees and God knows what BS they feed to families who are really in need. Save your fake tears and fake smiles ladies and gentlemen of WFG, or what I'd like to call "We're Full of GARBAGE" because I guess this is what America is coming to... A world full of fake money hungry people.
