World Financial Group
In Brea, CA, Claiming To Be AEGON INS And TransAmerica They found my resume on Hotjobs and called me to say they had a "job opportunity"

A recruiter named "Lu" called me to tell me that she had a job opportunity for me. She said that she found my resume on Hotjobs. She said she could see I was very qualified for a position and she wanted me to attend an interview. She then proceeded to ask when I was available.

A red flag went up in my head because she didn't bother to tell me the company name, the job title, or the job description. I had to ask all of this information. And she didn't give me any clear answers. She stumbled across her answers. She told me the company was Aegon and that it is a fortune 500 company looking to improve the financial future of associates and customers (this statement was another red flag - employers don't typically say that they want to improve your financial future... Sounded fishy). I asked her if it is a sales position. She said "we have various positions available." I asked her if I would be a w-2 employee... And here's where I realized she is definitely not an HR rep: she said she didn't know what that means! I asked her if I would be on payroll. She said, "Yes, we have some positions like that. You have to come and interview first."

I could sense a rat. She was definitely lying. I told her I would research the positions available (since she didn't even tell me what they were!) and I would call her back. After googling Aegon Brea, I came across the many other usacomplaints.com of this company (which is actually World Financial Group posing as Aegon). They just want to get you to sign up into their pyramid scheme. It turns out, according to others who have wasted their time with them, that you go to a mass group presentation, aka interview, and then sign up to be a high-paid associate... Providing you perform well. Performing well by World Financial Group standards means pestering everyone you know to become an associate or pestering everyone you know to buy life insurance. It's a very dishonest way to do business. This owner reminds me of Madoff. Lie to your employees... What next... Lie to your customers and stockholders? Beware.
