We had not checked our online bank statement in a couple of weeks and by the time we did, we had a $4.95 charge and 14 days later, a $59.90 charge. When we called E Auction AKA Pacific Webworks at 801-578-9020 and told them we didn't order their services, they told us we had to file a police report to get a refund.
I asked what email address they had on file for me and they said they couldn't give out that information. I asked them to verify what it ended in and they finally told me it was a.net address. We don't even have a.net address.
IF this was legitimate company and a person called in stating they didn't order anything from them and verified they had a wrong email address, they would be glad to refund the charge and report the fraud themselves.
I'm sure they're hoping most people won't take the time and trouble to file a police report so they simply keep the money.
This is an OUTRIGHT SCAM and makes me furious!
