Never subscribed to Smithsonian Magzine, but received a collection notice from National Credit Audit Collection

I never subscribed to Smithsonia Magazine. I received though a survey from them. I thought I will help them by responding to the survey. I made sure that I cross out the subscription to magazine column. Yet after few months, I see a redirected copy of smithsonian to my new address! After first effort to call them, I tossed it off! I never received another copy of the magzine, but I kept on receiving the bill from them. It has been almost a year now and suddenly I see this collection notice for $10.00 from notorious "National Credit Audit Corporation". My File # on their record is: 006-71226-15455-302-600 (01).

I am not sure how to legally challenge it, but it is certainly a fraud with a combined conspiracy between magazines such as Smithsonians and NCAC!
