Since the beginning of this year we've have dealt with more problems living at RavenWoods apartments such as wiring that's 10-15 years out of date,
but the State of Florida building codes allow property owners to get away with. The wiring running through all the apts. Are wired with aluminum, somethignthat does not have a long life exp. But the home renters in florida continue to use it and they get away with it, just depends on how much they tip tyhe inspectors and law makers. People we live in a fire hazard and anyone with a decorated work vehicle can work on your living area. There
are so many things about this complex that will make you just want to move right in. Such as: The damaged septic system here where you water doesn't drain in to pipes taking to the septic system, no it drains outside so other tenants can drive through it or your kids can play in it, then we have poorly wired recepticles that are hot on both sides but no power in the socket??? And this goes on through out the upstairs and some of the down staris of this unit. Now i've inquired to legal professionals and they've said the same thing the law protects the wrong people the home renters and the apartment complexes, but it doesn't stop people who work hard to pay the rent or mortgages that keep them fat and us thin (the consumer/renter). And some of us have still worry about coming home to no home and this isn't only this complex it exists in many. I've talked to many tenants around the area that I live and they've got the same problems if not worse and they've been here longer but no law helps me or them it only protects the owners real funny if you call that justice. But one thing that also helps is plenty of bad press because we can look out for each other, and prayerfully we'll be out of here soon butif you hear of this complex Please, Please and Please again run the other way and stay in a hotel or shelter before you stay here. And with no sinicalism in this they really have no clue of what they're doing and you have to watch out for the son because he likes to shoot other children with paint ball guns and hit your kids and run (just a bonus as to why you'd like to move in). But they want high rent for a place they can't take proper care of and there's no amenities, because the laundry room stays full/and filthy and they used to have a child care center / boy socuts / girl scouts, and home work room for the kids. The closed that down too, if you want to play basketball please be careful cause you'll break your neighbors windows and ther's no netso you have to watch your shot, there's some what of a play ground if some one doesn't steal the connecting links, and tell your child to be careful because all the pot holes in the back area they really may sprain or break some thing (ie: an ankle, leg, etc.) and make sure all their shots are up to date as well becuase the jungle gym and half a bench and the other items may cut, stab, or injure them in some way or another but if you need more proof then got www.apartments.com/ratings and type in the name of this apartment complex Raven wood or woods and read what others have said and then take a ride out here and view the place for yourselves because this is one those places that people buy into it some what repair or fix it then run up the rent and force the existing tenants here out then go up on the rents which in true make them rich but puts people who need a place out or are forced to pay these crazy amounts just to live in a slum while some semi-traded owner kills these tenants pockets, and they make it look like all floridian home renters and owners of apartment complexes are guilty of the same crimes there are some out there who do take care of there residents but why is it so few of them and more of the bad ones? Why are the laws so leineint with them? Why aren't there stiffer penalties such as the resident needs to be compesated for whatever troubles they've gone through during the course of their occupation of he dwelling? These owners of rental organizations need to be put through stiffer rules and regulations, because they are liable fro the lives and lively hoods of the renters because we are paying them.
