Beware of Government Repo Ads! Offer fraudulent websites, do not exist. Received cancellation confirmation #, but still deducted $19.80 from my checking account

I called to get a list of Government Repo cars in my area. But what I got was offers to sign up for bargainnetwork.com, and easysaver.com. I was never able to access the gov repo list, (stated I wasn't a member). The initial cost was only $1.95 for a 30 day membership. They also kept verifying my info over and over. I finally asked why I had to keep verifying my info. I was told they had to verify it for each offer. I didn't realize there was more than one offer! I ended up with the two offers.

As far as I know so far I did get bargainnetwork.com cancelled. When I cancelled it I verified the cancellation of the easysaver.com. I was given another number to call to cancel it.

When I called the number to cancel easysaver.com I received an automated message stating "Your call did not go through please try your call again". Every time I tried to call, I got this message. I called the bargainnetwork.com back, told them what was happening and they gave me two other numbers to try. I received the same message on both of them. I called bargainnetwork again, asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold.

While I was waiting I kept trying the other numbers from a different phone. I had been on hold for a supervisor for 21 minutes when I finally got through to a automated message telling me I could go online to: cancel. American-leisure.com to cancel my membership or I could cancel by phone. To cancel by phone press one. I did this, and got another automated message to stay on the line for a confirmation #. I received my confirmation #, but I was still charged the $19.80 which was automatically deducted from my account.

I also received a credit card in the mail steming from this original call (all I wanted was to see the government repos!). This credit card gave me a large credit line. But what most people don't realize is if you don't cancel it, they will deduct $199.99 from your account for membership! The only way to cancel this card by phone is to activate it first! When I called the number I got another automated message. It told me, "Congradulations! Your credit line has been increased to $8500.00!" (it was $6500.00). I went as far through the activation process until it requested me to enter the three digit code on the back of the card. Since I didn't want to activate it, I hung up. The only other way to cancel the card to send cancellation notice by certified mail within 30 days of activation. I am sending my notice out, hopefully they don't get into my account.

Don't be scammed by the government repo ads like I was!
