I ordered the Rotozip Rebel Tool with several blades and a carrying case from the infomercial for $119.85, then shipping and handling charges brought the total to $132.80. The developer of the tool said it was the newest tool and you could only get it through the infomercial. He also had attachments for the tool which was $69.95 more, I decided not to get the attachments at that time. I bought the tool for my husbands birthday which is later this month.
He called today from Home Depot and asked if he could get the Rotozip Rebel for his birthday and said Home Depot had the tool, box, blades and all attachments for $129.95. I told him that I had already bought it for him and for the price I paid. When he got home I showed him the tool and he could not believe how we got ripped off on the infomercial.
I called the company and they were not at all reasonable they said I could send it back but I would have to pay for the shipping both ways, that would add another $12.95 to the already higher cost.
I think people should be made aware of these practices. The representive from the companies Customer Service said the developer told them to tell customers that they would not undersell retail. What a rip off... The tool is now available to the public along with an even newer model..
