I was having a conversation with one of the managers and I had asked how many actually get the 400 or 440 or what ever new number they created for the guranteed income for potential Kirby dealers. He just stood there and laughed. And he said I think I have paid 2 or 3 in the last year. He continued on and said that is just to get them to go and canvass and some stick some don't either way it gets em here.
I couldn't believe my ears until I seen a NY State Trooper show up. I guess someone was a little angry about not getting there gurantee income. So I guess I know how it would make me feel to find out there was a guarantee and then show up for my check to find out I didnt do enough to get a guarantee and that I should try harder this week.
Funny thing is, is that even the guys that go out on their own can't do the insurmountable number of 18 canvassed appointments and sit down and try to wear them down presentation that can last up to 4 hours. 4x18= 72 hours not including the driving time or the fact that you don't do one after the other. Selling vacuums for four years I know with my level of expertise I would have a problem doing 18 appointments in less than 90 hours.
90 hours for $440 barely equals $5 per hour. Unbelievable. These guys are the crooks of the crooks. Scams of scams. Watch out or you will be one of the ones they laugh at next. The KIRBY vacuum actually costs the dealer between 350-450 depending on volume. With the attachments and shampooer add 100. Now you know exactly how much they are making off of your one sale. 1900-450= $1450 no wonder Warren Buffer bought this company. What a huge incentive for people. $1450 profit and they pay their says people about 150 $1300 per sale all you have to do is scam people and tell them about some phony unaccomplishable guarantee and your off to wealth in wonder land.
