That happened this morning, I was on my way back home, when a guy, with the famous strong Italian accent, driving a rental car, asked me his way to the airport.
That didn't sound weird to me although the airport is the only place which is indicated all over the city, he had good manners, and was very well dressed, the kind of guy that look serious.
When I told him I was French, he started to talk about the French fashion brands, and bullshit about the French and Italian cultures.
Then he said he was going to the states, that he was in Dublin for 3 days, just to introduce his new collection to Brown Thomas, which is actually a famous good-clothing store in here.
Then he shows me the three jackets in his car, and even if I knew they weren't costing 800 euros each as he was saying, those stuff seemed pretty good. He was asking for 400 euros, and I told him there was no way I could afford that. After a couple of minutes chat, I said I was gonna check my banck account, and I came back with 140 euros, which was actually all that I could spend If I wanted to eat untill the end of the month. I was convinced that I was making a great deal, and that I would not have any trouble to sell them for twice the price at least.
I am now back from Brown Thomas where of course I couldn't find any clothe from this brand, and my first reflex has been to google reportage RGA... And here I am, 100% sure now that I will never get caught again
