I was contacted by phone for an pre-approved credit card, guaranteeing me a $5,000 credit limit. All I had to do was give them 29.95 and the card and package would be sent to me. I was stupied enough to give them my account number. He told me to write the check out and that would be my reciept.
Boy, I got screwed! I started recieveing NSF letters in the mail from the bank. I knew something was wrong. Not only did they take the 29.95 out, but they waited a month to take out 99.95 and 59.95! (That I did not authorize)!!
My account was still in good standing for a couple of weeks afterward, so I was not aware the money was missing. I had a total of $590.00 just in NSF fees from the bank!!! I had to spend hours at the bank filling a disclaimer and seeing if they could credit me any of the NSF fees back. They graciously gave me $125.00 credit to my account.
If anyone sues let me know, I'm pissed and want in!
I just today found this web-site. I wished I had looked before. I am just now starting to mail Capital First to see about some kind of reembersement money. I thought I might have some hope, but not after reading this. I will mail them a letter a day, certified mail, if I have to.
