Sears/LVN Funding hired this company to get $800 dollars that I owed them since 2005. I was adivsed on a Monday that I needed a release from my bank Chase so that Rubin and Rothman can take their money and for me to call back an advise the CSR that the papers had been filed because "Chase is slow in Lousiana and it will be done quicker if I call her back". This is after 2 conversations with a different CSR with major people issues and me not receiving a call back from a supervisior.
2 days later I call and have been told that the Marshall has the account because I did not send the realease papers and I needn't worry about the account the money will be taken by the Marshall. So I asked how much will the Marshall take I was told 5%. I asked who is the Marshall and can I have their information I was told no and the money will be taken so don't worry about it he new amount is $1500 I asked for her supervisior and was disconnected.
But wait a minute... Becasue I listened to the CSR at Rubin and Rothman an phoned when I got the authorization R&R had the right to get a Marshall a day after becasue I didn't get the relaease the same day? To say the least I have never had as much distress, stress and frustration talking and dealing with a bill collector than with R&R and their call center. If they pride themselves on this form of bill collecting I guess the Rip off report, BBB need more consumers to make formal complaints.
By the way I do not deny owing the money but keeping a roof over my head is way more important. I hope the women at the call center and u know who u are rememebr "What goes around comes around'
