I received a letter stating I owed a credit card company a sum of money from 1996. When contacting the original creditors to confirm such, they did not have any knowledge or information regarding the mentioned account stated in the letter from the Office of Donald S. Burack.
However, they were able to find an account that I had with them in 1996 that was paid in full and will be sending me an updated letter. Upon getting this information, I immediately called the office back, only to get Mitchell Porter on the line, whom I guess is one of Burak's agents, who informed me that Bank of America sold my account and deleted all my information and they wouldnt have my information. When I questioned him about where he received my information and even trying to confirmed the date of this debt, he became very irate, rude and argumentative, yelling and making obscene comments. At times offering to spell out 1996 for me and telling me what I better do and stating that he does not have to lower his voice and talk to me like a human being. He simply stated that he was not in the customer service business.
He could not give me information about the, supposed to be, investor World Credit Fund who turned my information over to them. I have never encountered anyone so rude in my life. Legal counsel is in progress to investigate this issue and their practice.
