My daughter found herself saying yes to the "great deal" for magazines, of course when she got her Welcome letter she found that she would be paying $1037.40. This figure was not the same as the onedescribed to her over the phone. On June 27 we mailed a letter asking to cancel the subscription, (according to the Welcome letter they ask that you notify them in writing.) Unfortunately they ignored the letter and continued to charge her account. She then called today stating that she'd like to cancel the service, (up to that point Demeteria was very nice) She was put on hold and given to "Manager " Chris. After a lenghty argument telling her she couldnt do this, that she agreed verbally to fulfill this service. She read to him from the Welcome letter " Of course, if you are, for any reason, at anytime not fully satisfied, please notifty us in writing to the above address and we will discontinue your service without further obligation. We will, of course, complete the service you have already paid for. We will always seek to assure your satisfaction." This caught his attention and he said he would stop service and payment giving her a computerized confirmation number. After the call we wrote another letter of cancellation and recount of the conversation sending this time Return Receipt. Along with a trip to the bank asking that no other payments be made. Hopefully that will be the end of that.
