I purchased a top of the line Sony 60 inch television in Jan. 2006. It has broken down twice. The first time, the set was down for three weeks because they could not find a technition, reaulting in them sending me the lamp to fix it myself. Six months later, the lamp is out again. They say that the set is defective and that they will replace it. I went to the Circuit City today and they have the exact model as mine on display, but they want to replace my expensive television wit one that costs half as much. I declined and called the customer relations. I was adamant that I wanted a comparable model as a replacement, but got nowhere. Just a bunch of baloney and I was eventually hung up on. I intend to sue them as soon as I decide the proper venue. Small claims is cheap and fast, but I would much rather file, or be involved in a class action lawsuit, if that is how I could get them to change their dishonest behavior.
