A-1 Imports, Justin Roy
Pyramid schemes, lies, and theft

First off the other report contained a rebuttal by jackie and i would just like to say that's proof enough. Jackie is just a secretary for Justin, she is the first in line to try and sell you the crap by calling you moments after you post your resume on monster.com or any other job site. She says "I'm calling from A-1 imports about an exciting opp. The manager has read your resume and is very impressed when can we interview you?"

You then go into the interview and it is a quick 5 min bull session. It doesn't even feel like a real interview. It's really just a front for Justin Roy to get a feel for how easily manipulated you will be. He will not hire anyone who shows even a little concern or question the nature of the business. All the while he tries to conceal what the job really is.

You are then called later that day by jackie and she tells you "congratulations! Justin would like to have you come in for a day of observation"

This is called the second interview. Mine was with a shyster named Saquib, a sheep who has bought into the program 100%. I asked a lot of questions but got a single vague answer to all of them. I asked about pay and he tells me "Well you see, that's set by justin it depends on what he feels is fair". And i say " so it's commission only?" He says "no, it's not commission, it's profit sharing" and then he quickly changed to subject to football or something non relavant. This whole day is unpaid and is basically just a waste of time.

If they see that you might stay with the company you are hired right there on the spot once you get back to the office. They give you a phony quiz just to see if you payed attension during the day then justin pulls you into the office and says congrats blah blah blah. Then he says "i don't think im hiring any others so poker face" shakes your hand and tells you to come in the next morning.

Your first couple of days are retrain days. I spent mine with saquib. He didn't have a vehicle so he insisted i use mine to drive he and i to our territory. After i agreed i thought it was not really a big deal until i asked where we were going he said baltimore?! An hour and a half drive from the office. Now i drive a 6 cyl suv and get 12 miles to the gallon and at a time when gas was all but $3 a gallon. Saquib contributed none of it.By the end of the day i had burned $40 in fuel and recieved $40 of pay...

Another waste of time i broke even.

During my three months there this was the story. I never went home with a profit it all went back to gas because there was to compensation for driving. I asked justin if there was anything i could do like... Not drive? He gets a disguted look on his face and says "mike, it takes sacrifice. You need to lose it all before you can gain it all" HA

Justin gives charismatic speaches on how you don't need an education, your parents and friends who are simply worried about you are "negballs" and you should stay away from them, you need to eat sleep and breath the company.

The week I quit both justin and saquib called my phone numerous times calling me a "pussy" and saying I am a failure and I'll never amount to anything. On a voice mail justin actually said "the only place that will hire you is mcdonalds because you are a worthless loser"

For being a rich "owner" justin drives a hoop d and lives in a crummy apartment with saquib and other employees. It never made sense to me because here he is trying to sell this dream that he has already achieved and he already makes six figures a year but he's no better off than i am? It doesn't add up.

I think he got trapped in the business and now it's too late for him to get out so now he has to feed on victims to make a buck.

This whole business is a carefully orchestrated pyramid scheme. You are hired to sell junk to people who can't afford it. Justin tells you that the first and fifteenth of the month are the best days to go out and sell. Why? Well it's simple, because wellfare checks come out then. Justin would refer to these days as "ghetto days". We would be sent to poor neighborhoods and tricked people into buying cheap chinese products. Most of which were already broken out of the box and many were missing parts.

All in all the only thing this job gave me was debt, a knowledge that these schemes exist and the ability to sell junk to homeless people.
If you have an interview DON'T GO or at least look through the sales pitch they throw at you at the interviews.
