We bought our mobile home through Clayton 3 years ago. We were suckered into the extended warranty for around $500 and were told it covered EVERYTHING in the home. NOT! It only covers certain things and when you need repair you have to pay $100 deductible each time it's used.
Needless to say this can get expensive, especially if you have a piece of junk like I do. Since we've got it, we've had to have our AC unit repaired over 10 times. Our refrigerator has been serviced 3 times now. And our dishwasher we decided to throw it out and start new. It seems like nothing works right in this house or if it does, it's not for long.
Has anyone else been suckered by this crappy insurance of even the idea that they were getting a well-built home?
