Dish advertises on their web site an american 100 package with HD for 34/month.
I signed up and also signed up for auto withdrawl each month and never reviewed a bill.
I received a notice today that I was being billed another $5 month because of a tuner not plugged in.
The reason it was not plugged in is their contracted installer never finished the job and we never complainede because it was in a guest room we never use.
I called to clear it up and found out that instead of $34 a month payments I have been paying $80. Thisis for the basic package plus hd. ADVERTISEDstill today for 34.99 a month.
I was told that I was to mail in a rebate form to get the price but the only rebate indicated on their site is for 20 dollars and that is easy to assume that is a one time rebate and in my case not woth the time. I thought I would go ahead and pay the $20 and forget about it.
I also have DirectV and they charge 80 a month for two HD DVR's plus all premieum channels, The same I pay echostar for their weakest package.
I spoke with for levels of customer service and the last two both said they would CORRECT the error but I had to stay with their service.
If not I had to pay $200 plus I was out of luck on getting the 40 overpayment returned.
Every agent including the executive complaint personb were nothing but rude.
So now I have DirectV hooking up all my TV's with their new technology and I will REALLY save 70 a month.
PLEASE let me know if you suffered the same treatment. I am going to alert everyone I can to look to ATT, VERIZON who both offer great packages and DIRECTV who I currently use and who has tremnedous custoemr service.

And of yea they told me I would have to pay them another 110 to take their poorly installed dish off my roof
