I have been in the commercial driving business for 22 years, the last 142 weeks are with New Prime Inc. I am writing this out to find out if there are other drivers keeping a good record of their travels with Prime? As an example I can tell you who pays me better, daytime dispatcher? Evening dispatcher, and the graveyard dispatcher. Or what trailer I had 120 weeks ago, who got the best ratings for a shipper or reciever.
As I progress through the weeks, I have noticed the last 6 months that the sales staff is not up to speed there. As a trainer, most of my time was idle or alot of time alloted for delieveries. As I have seen it, Prime cannot keep up with team loads. Like those listed before me, Prime has no real value for the students as it taken up by the gross income of the truck. This is purely on the back of owner operator. So I asked myself, where did the $68,000 (28%) I paid them last year go to?
Recently I recieved info from a shipper and compared it too my earnings when I hauled for them on serveral occassions, $600 was missing from the total amount from the billing they sent to the shipper. The excuse I got from Prime was to give them 48hr notice before I can see their paperwork. Sounds like Enron to me?
