I was first approached by this company through a card in the mail. I thought " wow I am being recognized for my Artistic talent" right~
I got called after filling out this card (June 1st 2007) and the woman was more then happy to ask me about my life, what was important, the people in my life etc: after an hour and a half on the phone with her, she sweetened the deal with Airline tickets (vouchers) and then I would have this great plaque to display a beautiful certificate to boot.
Then came the memberships: gold or platinum for a small fee. Right that fee cost me $618.95??
I was kindly billed immeadiatey after the conversation.
Here it is after a promise of 15 days for the materials to come, I yet to have anything in my hands. I called Cambridge again on the 18th and the woman said " let me check on this" came back on the lne and then said " well it takes longer for the materials to be printed, you should have it next week.
Here I am again made yet another call today and with out any resolution, i was told " let me check this for you" I then told her "I called my credit card company and told them about this situation and they told me their was nothing they can do and I need to contact the merchant for a refund. I would like a refund as I have NOT recieved anything and I do not do Business this way!!!
I called the number back and asked for billing, and I was sent to a phone box to leave a message, I did with thelling them if this matter is NOT resolved I will have my Lawyer on them.
Please beware of this company. They make promises they can't keep, sweet talk you, make it out to be more then it is! They gather personal inforamtn about you, your life, family life and members to heighten the deal.
I am ashamed I fell for such a scam, I should have known better, like my fathers always said " If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"!
Now I am sure I will be in for the fight of my life to get my credit card reinstated the monies I have been scammed of.
