First Capital Consumers Group
If it sounds to be good to be true, it probably is, especially with First Capital Consumers Group. Consumate liars, cheating people out of their hard-earned $

At the beginning of June I was contacted by a company called First Capital. They had an amazing credit card offer for me. Now, I had been filling out quite a few credit card applications online, and I had gotten a call from one other company that I turned down because of the amount of fees involved. So when I asked the woman, (called Lisa Day) how they got my name and why they were offering someone who didn't have much of a credit history such a great deal, she said that they got it from a place that had turned down my application-that it had been turned over to them. She also said that First Capital was concerned mostly with helping people build and reestablish credit. So anyway, she gave me the spiel. You'll receive a Mastercard with a 2500 credit line unsecured, with a 0% APR for the life of the card. And you'll also recieve a Visa card with cash advances with a low 4.9% APR for the life of the card. I, of course, wanting to believe it, thought that I had just gotten amazingly lucky. And I thought, maybe the $199 processing fee is a little high, but for two cards I can deal with it. Anyway, I set up the debit date as June 7th, but called back later (had to call many, many times, to get a real person on the phone) and had it changed to June 14th. They debited the money from my account on the 17th, and I got my cell phone bill the following day. When I found out that I had $20.58 in long-distance charges for calling Canada, I knew that there was a problem. I thought, why would a company give me an address in New York, and their phone number be in Canada. I first tried to find a website for them, and in the process, stumbled across this site and Eye on Credit. My worst fears were confirmed in about five minutes.in any case, I went to my bank the next day and told them it was an unauthorized debit by a fradulent company. They told me no problem, they would send it back as unauthorized and the money should be credited back to my account shortly. If you have a good bank, they should be willing to do this for you-but make sure you get in there and do it as soon as possible. While I was at my bank, I asked for a paper copy of my statement in the last ten days. The $199 debit was there, with the name 1st Capital Cons ELG128 as the Description. If you've been a victim of this company, you can see the irony in the description on my bank statement. I hope this helps those of you who have yet to be scammed, or have already been scammed. It will teach us all to be more careful, and not so trusting. I know that I for one, will always research a company thoroughly before I give out any personal information. And I will never get out information over the phone again. Here is a note for those of you who would still like to get a hold of First Capital Rip off Group. When I called to change my processing date, I got through on this number, the very first time I called. 416-488-4746. So give it a try. Bitch them out, or demand your money back. File a report on here. Talk to your bank. Don't let them screw you. TessaSebring, Florida
