Apartment Management Harrasses Tenants - Maintenance Man Claims Tenants are Stalking Him

The managers at The Waterford at Spencer Oaks Apartment Complex in Denton, Tx are rude, disrespectful, inadequate, dishonest and over compensate for their shortcomings. The non-english speaking maintenance guy accused a woman with a severe medical condition in it's final stages of stalking him. This woman has documented proof of having a severe heart condition and has been told that any unnecessary stress can be fatal.

There is black mold around the windows and doors and it is now coming in through the walls of most of the apartments in this facility. Tenants can experience electric bills in excess of $400 a month, the parking spaces are limited to a first come first serve basis even with the required parking passes, tenants have had their cars towed at their own expense for being parked in "other" spaces that were off limits to park because they were reserved for "visitors".

There are so many not-permit carrying visitors that they're taking over the paying tenants parking spots. The walls and ceilings are so thin that tenants have experienced sleep deprivation, have woke up to find that their pictures and clocks have fallen off the walls because of excessive noise and vibrations from heavy footfall from upstairs and next door neighbors.

Tenants pay $835.00 for a 2 bedroom apartment and $1,025 for a 3 bedroom apartment only to put up with all the crap they have to deal with. The two managers in the office threaten to evict tenants over "legit" complaints and they do not follow up on most of the complaints filed.

There are numerous lease violations that are NOT reported, the dumpster to the apartment complex is so far off that tenants literally have to "drive" their trash to the dumpster. The pool is never operational, the hot tub has been reported as having "slime and green sludge" sitting in the bottom of it. Tenants have complained of unsupervised children in the pool area and other places throughout the complex.

The maintenance is not getting done correctly or in a timely fashion because the maintenance guy doesn't speak English and the Managers don't translate very well. Maintenance and Management are both entering apartments without notifying tenants and later saying they had a valid work order to back up their unannounced entry. There have been several robberies and vandalism issues at this residence and nothing is getting done.

The woman mentioned earlier with the severe heart condition has asked management numerous times to please do something about the neighbors upstairs with the 8 kids all under 5 and 4 adults who like to do arts and crafts projects at midnight and have a vacuuming obsession that occurs every morning at 2:30am. You know what management did to resolve the problem? They informed the woman that she needed to stop complaining and threatened to evict her!

I think it's time that someone did something about this apartment complex! It's not a healthy living environment for my friend or anyone else at that matter. And the managers need to be taught how to be professional, polite and have a psychiatric background check done on them because they're unstable, imbalanced and a hazard to the tenants. I'm surprised the Management company who owns the complex can stay in business. We pay a $1200 a month house payment, I could not see paying $835 or even $1,025 to a company that employs an unprofessional staff nor provides living conditions fit for even a rat!
