Eware of this horrible company. They have absolutely no ethics when it comes to hiring people, and waste their time and efforts, and lie to them as well as mistreating them when it comes to basic and general 'hiring practices.' I went to this staples at the maitland office, to apply for a telesales job and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. I was lied to several times about 'when' to come in for an interview, told at least 10-15 different things by the secretary at the front desk about when to come in, told I could come in for a walk-in interview on certain days, yet everytime I went in there was a new excuse or reason as to why I couldn't get an interview, or why I should come back the next day.
I went into the office at least 6-7 times and was told a different story every time I went back in. I have never heard of or been to a company that mistreated applicants in this manner. The recruiters at this location discriminate against certain applicants, while giving other people 'walk in interviews' on the spot with no problem, and lying to others claiming that receiving an interview is a 'huge process' which apparently seems to mean being lied to over and over again for no apparent reason, and wasting people's time.
This staples not only did not take me seriously as an applicant, but they decided to play games with my time and lead me on with regards to receiving an interview, criticize my 'professionalism' or dress, and in the end give me an interview to almost 'appease' me. I have never heard of a company being allowed to do this to a job applicant, and this staples should not be allowed to do this to anyone. On top of lacking any professionalism themselves, while having secretaries and recruiters that lead people on or lie to them or give them false information, they are criticizing applicants on their professionalism, and have absolutely no ethics as a company whatsoever. Another report will be filed with more detail on the situation but I hope a manager reads this and does something about the jerks and recruiters that run the 'hiring process' at this location and company.
