Dear Randy Campbell: Atlanta, GA 30338
I am writing in reference to our conversations of Feb 26 and 27. I must say I was quite disappointed when you did not agree to reimburse me for the Delta Mechanical Bill that I paid in good faith believing that it would be returned to me. As discussed on many occasions, the poly pipe replacement was one of the main reasons I opted to use your company and follow its recommendation to handle the repair of my home after the fire damage. Our last conversation has forced some serious thought as to why this information was not on the contract.
After reviewing the contract I did remember that I asked you why it was not listed on the contract, and was told that it was not a part of the Allstate responsibility and that it would be addressed separately. When you told me that you could not find it on the contract, I felt betrayed. I thought Brasher, Campbell & Honnold, being my personal adjusters, had my best interest in mind while doing business. However, there are multiple things on the contract that have not been completed as outlined in the contract.
We both know that the contractors recommended to me by your company did not do the job as promised. The problems began way before Winston took over. When you told me that I should give a portion of the 2nd draw to Platinum, when I did not want to, you gave back $3,000 of the moneys to insure they continued to work on repairing the house. I watched you write and hand over a check; this induced me to do the same to keep the work moving. We both know that even after Platinum received the additional money they still did not complete the repairs. However, when the next disbursement came in you collected the $3,000 you submitted. This left me with $3,000 less than I would have had for the subsequent contractor (Winston of C&J Construction).
After all the confusion with Platinum you obtained Winston to complete the contract for the balance of money I had on hold at the mortgage company from Allstate.in addition, I paid the electric bill because Platinum did not, there was also a lien placed on my home because they did not pay for the materials. When I got the bill from Delta for the agreed service, I paid it to prevent any further liens being placed and believing you would return that money when the final draw arrived. This option was given to me by you when I called to inform you that I got the bill.
All of this just rehashes a nightmare that I thought was behind me. I have had to come out of pocket for more than what I am asking in return and the contract terms has not all been satisfied. For you to tell me that I was responsible to insure the pipe replacement was in the contract was quite a blow. All I want is to be able to pay off my credit card without further interest which is more than fair. I would appreciate a call from you upon receipt of this lette
