We ordered a sectional through Leath Furniture over 2 months ago. We were promised that it would come in and be delivered within two weeks. Over and Over, my wife and I have phoned and have received numerous stories to why it has not arrived and been delivered. We paid a deposit of $450.00 for this item.
We heard rumors and saw news reports that Leath Furniture is going out of business. We called over 10 times. Finally, we got a man that was honest and said they were going out of business that he could not lie to us, as he was instructed to do.
We talked with a Manager and was told by her that we could not get our deposit back. We would have to file a claim form. That there was still a chance that out furniture, now over 10 weeks past due, may still arrive. We had also purchased a 5 year warranty at an additional cost of $150. We were also told that we could not get that back.
We have purchased thousands of dollars of furniture with this company before. Now, we are treated like scum. We can not get our furniture or our money. We also have warranites on several other furniture pieces that now are WORTHLESS!
Buyer beware. Do not by from Leath Furniture, even if they have a huge going out of business sale. If you don't get your furniture, you will have to file a claim like us. We are sure that we will never see the money.
