In February Loews Employee Teri H. Found out her husband has terminal cancer. At first the store manager Kathaleen and others in the store rallied around Teri and allowed her leway to take her husband to doctors appointment, to and from the hospital and to stay overnight with him in the hospital when he was having bad days. Anyone who has been in the same situation or knows someone with cancer knows many times, there re far more bad days than good.
When Kathaleen was forced out by the District Manager and replaced, the rules changed.
And store manager Grayson and Human Resoruces Manager Mary Margaret kept changing the rules on Teri. They were either changing the rules or neglecting to tell her things she needed to know.
Teri then applied for leave under the Family Leave Act.
She was denied and then FIRED!
When Teri applied for unemployment, she found out Loews had lied and classified her as having QUIT!!!
Teri fortunately has enoungh evidence in the form of documents and recorded phone calls to back up her claims against the store and store management!
So next time you need something for the Home, instead of going to Loews, drive across the street and do your shopping at HOME DEPOT! This company knows how to treat their employees and would NEVER do anything to one of their own as LOEWS has done to one of their's!
I'll keep everyone informed as I'm close but not too close to the situation.
