Sir Richard Taylor Ripoff puppy scam stole money got no puppy for money said puppy died in car crash

I had answered an add from (ROR redacted link for security purposes) about a bulldog puppy. I got to know the person thru e-mail-so I thought-his name Sir Richard Taylor-is what he calls himself. He makes himself sound like he knows what he is talking about when it comes to bulldog puppy care and tell what you want to hear at first but then just when I think the puppy is being shipped to me, I get a e-mail from his reference that he had given me. The e-mail said "have you talked to Richard today? Because I have and Richards brother answered the phone and was in a panic and said to me that Richard had been in a car accident and had broken both of his legs and the saddest part was the puppy, because he had died in the crash.

I thought that this was the real deal because I had gotten to talk to Richard on the phone and the animals delivery guy from the municipal airport. When Richard first tried to ship the puppy we ran into some new papers that he didn't know about for shipping and that it cost another 1500.00 for me to send to Richard so he could give the cash to the animals delivery guy for the shipping papers. I had recieved thru e-mail-what looked like a real document from the animals deliveryman. Richards brother had contacted me by phone and by e-mail stating what his brothers condition was after the accident and that they couldn't send me a replacement puppy because they would need new shipping papers and that the original papers were in the car at the time of the accident and that the car had burst into flames. They wanted more money from me to get new shipping papers for another puppy and I said NO. I told them that they should have reported this accident to the police and Richards brother told me that they didn't do that because of their families reputation and they wanted to stay out of the political lime light. I asked that I be refunded my money in full which is $1750.00 and they said well we have a friend that is willing to help with their financial situation because they said that they couldn't afford the hostpital bills and they have other bills to pay for and it was just before Christmas. I said that would be great if this friend could help out and Richard had asked me by e-mail how I wanted them to send me the money-either by money order or by bank wire. He also said that his friend would be sending me more than the amount that I needed and that Richard wanted me to send him the rest of the money back that I didn't need. I didn't know that bank wire was secure so I had said by money order. Later I had talked to my bank about bank wires and they said that it is safe and I also heard that there have been some money order scams out there and I e-mailed Richard back and told him that I changed my mind and wanted him to wire to my bank.

I have not heard from Richard for 2.5 weeks now and have not recieved any money. I know that I was very stupid in getting involved with this person in the first place and should have looked for a better breeder, but if anyone knows how I can get my money back that would be great.
