Capital Choice Consumer Credit
Aka. Hartford Auto Club AKA. Premium or Premier Mega Saver ripoff artists fraud

On June 20, I noticed 2 debits from my checking account. One was titled HAC for $99 and the other was PMS for $54.90. I did not know what these were, but they were both labled PHONE CHECK and had a different, toll-free number for each. When calling the numbers, after lengthy but similar menus, you are finally referenced to a customer service number. There is a different number for each. HAC is Hartford Auto Club. A rep from Roan Communications (this is where the first customer service number got me) in Miami claims that I received a call from a telemarketer on May 14 regarding a Capital First credit card. According to her, the Hartford Auto Club is a bonus offer made once you agree to sign up for the credit card. I would have had to sign up for this card and also agreed to try out a bonus offer from the Hartford Auto Club. She states that I had 15 days to cancel the membership and that I would have had to give the telemarketer my account information. Granted, I may have received the solicitation call as I receive them in mass numbers, but I most certainly did not sign up for a credit card nor did I accept any other offers. Most conversation with telemarketers last long enough for me to say, Not interested, thank you. I mentioned the PMS debit as well and asked if they were affiliated. She replied that they were not. Rep requested that I send a copy of my bank statement via fax showing the debit, as their records do not indicate any debit or account information. They do have my name, numbers and, address. I refused on the grounds that I wasn't going to send them my financial information that they claim to not have. The question of how they debited the account in the first place is unanswered, but she maintains that they do not have the information. She then suggested that I send a copy of the statement with just the line showing the debit and black out all other account information. I questioned this in how they would be able to refund a debit if they don't have my account info. Her response was that they don't need my account number to refund the money. Got that? The next rep was a supervisor and claimed that it would take 7 business days to investigate. PMS is Premium or Premier Mega Saver, which appears to be a calling card. I got the same story as above, right down to the denial that they are associated. This rep claimed that they use an outsourced telemarketer that promotes an unaffiliated credit card. I then spoke to another super and she claimed that this was not related to a credit card solicitation and was an independent telemarketer. This was said after I pointed out that although they claim to not be associated with this HAC issue, there sure are a lot of similarities between them. Did I mention that their records showed that the original call was on May 14th? She then informs me of the 7 day investigation, which I demanded to know the procedure in detail. She claimed that the audio tapes of the original call on May 14 would have to be reviewed. She was unable to answer the obvious question of how can you review audio tapes from an independent outsourced telemarketer??? Now the blood is boiling and I started my own investigation. When searching the HAC issue, Roan Communications came up on the BBB, but with no additional info. The PMS however hit with the Capital Choice listing, which obviously has issues. While reviewing the data, I noticed that among the many addresses and numbers which this company operates, the address and primary number of Roan Communications was in the list. Roan itself was not mentioned in the various aliases of the company, but neither was Pre-whatever Mega Saver. However, Mega Minute Saver is. These people currently have $153.90 of my money. More importantly, we have no idea how they actually got a hold of my CHECKING ACCOUNT DEBIT CARD NUMBERS!!! We never signed up for this credit card, certainly didn't hand them my account numbers or agree to any bonus plans. According to them, they don't have my account on file or any record of the debit! If the BS gets much deeper, we will need snorkels and webbed feet. Needless to say, they are aware of the dispute, as is my bank. I will be filing multiple complaints with this company, including credit card fraud, theft, misrepresentation, grievance and, anything else I can legally come up with. Reps I spoke to include (no last names of course): Sjohara, Lajameka, Tiffany, Betsy. ChrisMurfreesboro, Tennessee
