One of my friends recruited me when i was in Highschool, I had to pay about $450 to be able to join the company. After that they wanted me to recruit more people and pormised me to make thousands of dollars a week. City Of Industry

One of my "friends" recruited me when in was in highschool back in 2002. He took me to a technology bussiness meeting. This is where I met Luis Arriaza (i think that was his name) He was this Charistmatic person giving a speech about internet sales franchises and how in the future this would expand throughout
America and we would all become wealthy. I was brainwashed, as embarrased as I am to admit it. It all souded so good and all the representatives were all dressed in bussiness attire and all looked so professional. My friend would brag about making $500 a week not doing much. I gave in and on my second meeting I got "hired" and I had to pay about $450 to join! If that was not enough i had to attend every meeting in order to be updated with new information and every meeting costed $5 to $10 to enter!

Soon i started to catch on to the fact that this was a Pyramid scam, because i was not selling anything on the internet but I was now being instructed that I had to start recruiting 2 more pople and everytime those two poople recruited two other people i would make some money from that, hence the name 2by2. When i wanted to quit due to the fact that i was too busy trying to graduate from High school and I did not have the time to actually recruit people, I asked for a refund which never happened, my friend got mad at me for doing so and wanted to make me feel stupid for quiting and tryed to make me feel incopetent;which is exactly what the other representatives did when you didn't want to join. One thing that totally gave out the fact that this was a scam, was that in every meeting the speech given by mr. Arriaza was exactly the same even the Jokes where exactly the same! After being there for a couple weeks I was taken to a member only meeting by my "friend" that's when i found out that in fact this was a learned speech by mr. Arriaza and we were told to be act as if it was the first time we had heard the speech, and even laugh every time he cracked one of his lame jokes which again where part of a sketch. I never did recruit any one because its hard and like I said before I was busy with school. I just took the $450 as a loss and never talked to this guy i called my "friend" again.
