This company contacted me by phone in January. I told them no, I did not want any further magazines. (I had been with them previously without problems.) I have the date and a persons name for confirmation.
Then I did not look at my accout for several months because I got cancer, so my husband handled the bills, etc. And did not know that my previous account was paid off.
When I found that they were billing me again, I called and they wanted proof of my cancer/docotrs care. I tried faxing this info several times without success. I also found my records of telling them no in January and called again.
They then did say they would cancel my account and took me off their list to call as of today 9-11-06. They said they could not credit me for the past 9 months incorrect billing without a supervisors approval. I talked to a supervisor and he was the one that helped me stop things today. I told him that he was the one I talked to in Jan. And he said he wasn't a supervisor then so nothing could be done about a refund of $307.98 but that I would still get the magazines I had paid for.
I told him thank you and ended the call.
I don't want this to happen to anyone else.
