I was contacted by one of these representatives and was threatened to loose my house, my car, my pets, my job and even my life if I did not pay this debt immediately. I asked for 100% proof this bedt was mine, such as a signed contract, date of charges on the credit card, and signatures for the charges. I was told the company did have any of that and that I was just stalling for more time. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he was the supervisor. I told him I had never had a credit card from Capital One and he called me a liar. Now these people are calling my friends, neighbors, even poeple I don't even know in the town I live in telling them about my debt and asking them to contact me and PLEAD with me to pay the debt so that they can stop getting these harrassing calls. My friends were told by Creditors Exchange that they got the call because we were dead beat neighbors. My life has been threatened, my dog (who was barking in the background) was threatened and so were my children. This has to be illegal, and it has to be stopped. But how???
