I am one of many whom have been suckered by CMC, I signed a contract with them and the only contacted made was my calling them. I always get the same thing, "we have a big event this weekend and feel it will sell" After seeing the report and talking to several other resort resell places, I began doing some investigation on my own. This is how I found usacomplaints.com and a group on yahoo against CMC. I signed with CMC the end of january 06, I did check the BBB and they were a member then but were removed shortly after.
I have tried to call the sales person whom I signed with and have been told she is unavailable (out on recruit to sell my property), down to the most recent (08/23/06) that she no longer worked for them. I really wish I could find Jean Neal. I was told by her that there was no time table involved in selling my property but to speak realistically, it WOULD sell in 3-4 months, it has now been 7 months and not even 1 offer on the property.
I spoke with the customer service dept. And was told the same thing as always, then when I informed them I was aware of the investigation into the practices of CMC, I was told it was all a disgruntled employee that was trying to close them down and it was not true, non of it.
I have no faith in the company but am under contract til Jan. 07. I am, at this point, just hopeing to get my money back. I have reread the contract I have on file and it does state all money will be refunded if not sold with-in a year. Pray for me that I get it back. I will be filing a complaint with the FLA. AG office next.
Anyone with info on how to deal with these people, please let me know. My husband and I are military and want to buy a home soon and have to get out from under this property, not needing the headache of being ripped off also.
