I worked for Ad Efx Spa Days in Santa Clara, CA. I always thought there was something weird about the way the salesmen and woman wouldn't give me all the information about what I was doing.
I didn't fill out any W2's, the told me I had to keep track of my money spent because I wouldn't have to file for taxes. It basically was an under-the-table job and I didn't have a clue.
These people hire young kids and clueless folks to work for them and don't explain the full outcome of the job. They also tell you they will withold $200.00 from you for a "security deposit", then when you quit, they keep it for three weeks.
I only got $200.00 when they told me I saved up $40 more. I never saw that $40. That was supposedly my final check.
Anyways, these people sucker young kids into playing their little sales games, keeping money from them and only giving them 16% of what they make for the company.
I believe I was scammed by working for these people. I am only sorry I didn't see all these reports sooner.
All their employees were liars and cheats and fakes. I hated working there. All I heard was that I didn't have enough confidence for the job and I had to be able to approach people, but I knew there was something fishy, and I knew there was a reason they had us "hide" our certificates and only approach people by saying, "hello, can I ask you a quick question?"
This company basically *&*& me.
I would love to hear from more previous employees of this company.
