Andy's Autosport
Ripoff, sent wrong parts, would not cooperate, rude, then ordered ups to pick up parts and sent me the shipping bill

On April 2. my grand-daughter wanted to order a complete body kit for a 1991 Dodge Stealth from Andy's Autosport. I let her put it on my credit card as it I was paying for part of it for her 18th birthday. I was suppose to arrive in one week, but it did not.

We called and they said it was out of stock and would come directly from the factory. It finally came via truck on 4/19/06, but we had to meet the truck at the K-Mart store in town and bring it home. It was not opened until we got home and it was for a Mitsibishi, not a stealth.

I called Andy's and they said to take some pictures and fax or e-mail them, so we did. They called and said to make it fit, and too bad, if we wanted to return it we would pay for shipping plus a 35% restocking fee, I said no, that it was their error and not mine.

I called my credit card and told them to cancel the payment of $714.21 as I received the wrong kit. I filed with the attorney generals office, consumer protection agency, and the better business bureau. Andy's told the attorney general that we had worked out a deal, which is a lie, and it sat on my porch for 3 months, finally I received a call from UPS saying they were told by Andy's Aurosport to pick up a box from me to go to them. That was on July 10th,

They called again and said the truck could not come up to my house and would call and get approval from Andy's to use a smaller trucking company. On the 14th of July they picked it up. I thought my troubles were over, but they were just getting worse.

On the 17th I received a phone call from a collection agency in California, saying they had a claim filed against me for $1071.00 from Andy's Autosport for merchandise not paid. It was filed on the 10th of July, (the same day UPS was told to pick it up) sneaky huh,? I told them I did not owe anything to them and it was shipped back to Andy's. She said prove it and that I had to pay it or it would ruin my credit.

I faxed the info to them and have not heard anymore, yet. But on the 24th of July, I received a bill from UPS for $617.00, for shipping the box back to Andy's Autosport. I called and told them I did not call to have it shipped, that Andy's called them. They said that they had not record of that and I was named the shipper. It was a return to sender as far as I knew. I told them I would not pay it.

I am now contacting the attorney general again, and they have it on record that Andy's called UPS to pick up the package. Of course Andy's lie, and are not willing to tell the truth. I am a nervous wreck over this, as I am 63, and my husband is disabled and we raised my grand-daughter.

We are out of a body kit for her car, a large bill I do not owe in collections for a kit I do not have, and a big shipping bill that is outrageous, and I did not order the shipping. Please do not shop with Andy's Autosport, they will rip you off, send the wrong parts, etc. They should be shut down.
