Auto Exchange
Ripoff

I bought a car from from The Auto Exchange 2 months ago. When I bought this car. I had 2 people with me. The car was running well but had a few issues. It had a squeeling belt and a radio that made the most awful high pitched sound. Before buying the car I pointed out the flaws and told him I was not interested because of the sounds coming from the car.

The owner of the car informed me that it had just come in from auction and that he already knew what was wrong. He also pointed out a few things I did not catch. He agreed to have them fixed free of charge if I took the car. Both people with me heard him. I was to bring the car back the following day and all would be fixed. Well, I did just that and he fixed some of them, but charged me for the parts. They were under a 100.00 so I payed the bill.

Were they fixed? No, he put stuff in the car to make it sound fixed. The exhust leak is still not fixed. But that was just the start of my problems. 1 week before my paper tag was due to expire I went in to get my tag, I was told my title was lost in the office and they would find it. The day the tag went out I went back in to be told they didn't have time to find it and would extend my tag 2 weeks. 2 weeks later went back in and still no tags. I was extended another month. That tag expired 2 weeks ago. Still no plates and another paper tag extention of 1 month. I was told by the owner that they still were unable to find the title. I started complaining, HARD.

On Saterday the 24th my payment came due, my 2nd payment, I had my payment changed by several days the month before because it conflicted with my pay checks. I know my payments were due on the 27th of each month, the the car lot is saying the 24th. Either way. The 24th landed on a Saterday.

On Monday night I walked out to find a tow truck hooked to my car. It had been repo'ed. When I called and asked them about it they said, because I was 1 day late they took it. The owner showed up about 20 mins later, drunk as a skunk and said, I can't eat, you can't drive. When I explained my payment wasnt due til the 27th, he said, i could come to the office the next day and he would show me the date. That day would have been the 27th. I went in payment and late fee in hand, just in case I was wrong. Well you guessed it the payment sheet for the car along with the whole file is missing. But, he (the owner) believes the date was the 24th. No proof, just he believes. What a crock, but I hand him 300.00, the payment and late fee. We are talking 1 day late here, he believes. Now he wants 350.00 for a repo charge. I have a witness that heard the paperwork is missing and he believes. I tell him so I pay all this I get a real tag? No, it is still missing, but they are working on it. So I take my money back and tell them, forget it. They tell me I have 10 days to pay or the car goes to auction. Which would be 12 days since payment was due. Then they tell me I can clean out my car. I go to get my stuff, what stuff? The car has been sitting out in their lot open.

The dash is now in peices, the new radio I bought is gone, My CD's are all gone. The trunk is cleared out with over 800.00 in western clothes that belonged to my grandson. All the cars paperwork is gone. I have the contract, but the rest is all gone. The paper tag is now gone, but i got pictures of the front window, where there is no tag. I consulted a lawyer and he said, he believes I am supposed to get a 5 day grace. I also have a fraud case cause of the tags. This placeis a rip off, and I believe they repo'ed the car after 1 day because of the plates.

Maybe i am wrong, but it's what I BELIEVE.
