I recently was called by a rep from Primerica early one morning, asking me if i had heard of Citigroup. They did not mention Primerica and this rep was explaining how citigroup is the largest company in the world, blah blah blah. I kept asking him where he got my name and number from and finally after asking enough times he said he had recived my number through "University Services".
I found out that was a lie. I have been attending George Mason for three years now. I agreed to go into an interview. When I had arrived it was a madhouse!
There were so many people in the office building being interviewed and such. They made me fill out a pre-interview sheet with basically just questions about my references. Finally they took me in another room. A guy asked me how i liked my current job and a few other questoins.
I said i liked my job but it was to hold me over until i graduated. I planned on doing other things with my life. Then they took me in a large group room with about 15 other people with this boring presentation. I sat in there for almost two hours about nonsense. I began to zone off.
They finally dismissed us and my recruiter came running up to me and then they asked for 199 dollars. I think i zoned off in the presentation because i did not remember them saying anything about this 199 dollars. The only reason I paid is because they said that i could get my money back if it did not work out.
He wanted to start me off as soon as possible. I was like ok since i will make money faster. Well i missed a few weeks cuz i had finals and he felt that finals were not important enough. Even one of the messages he left me he said, "you dont need your degree, you will make so much more money if you work here and get liscenced!" I was so shock, school and your degree is important to me and my family.
So when school was over i finally attending some things. I went to maybe two training sessions when i saw the manipulation that goes on there. There was a gentleman they were trying to recruit and he had no interest because he was moving out of the country in a few months.
The recruiter wasnt doing a good job at keeping him, so this other recruiter comes up and tries to convince him to stay saying that you will make money fast before he moves away. SO the guy asked can i think about it? ANd the recruiter said, why do you need to think about it? You need to get started as soon as possible.
So the poor guy gave in and handed him 200 dollars. All the reps were so happy and amazed what happened, giving him high fives and saying you are awesome. Then i realized that i was used with the same tactics and bullsh* as he was.
I skipped my next session and ever since then i have been getting five calls a day and still getting them for the last two weeeks now! I would talk to him myself but i do not want to be subjected to their manupulation and tactics. They are relentless.
What amazed me is that he wanted all the names of my family members and friends and he kept harassing me for the names and numbers. My dad was sketched out from the beginning and now i know why.
At first i felt bad about avoiding the phone calls but now i dont care after reading all these reports. They claim they are helping people, they are just ripping them off for thier own satisfaction.
Everyond Do Not Help this company grow!!
