Tupperware offers the opportunity to host a Tupperware fundraiser where Tupperware supposedly will donate 40% of the sales of your party to your organization.
Techinically they do give you the 40% but what they do is give you a "SPECIAL" catalog that all the prices are raised by... You got it 40%!
Your friends and family are participating in your fundraiser thinking they are purchasing a product and that TUPPERWARE is generously donating 40% of the sales to, in this case the Breast Cancer 3 Day! In actuality you the customer are making a 40% donation and Tupperware is donating SQUAT except raking in the extra sales under false pretenses!!!
Tupperware is benefiting from the extra sales, belng link with well know Non-Profit organizations such as the Komen foundation and reaping the benefits of being portrayed as a supporter of these organizations. They are giving nothing back in return.
Tupperware fundraisers should be avoided at all costs as both a hostess and a customer until they change the way they do business.
Do not support them by hosting these fundraising parties. There are many reputable companies that truly believe in worthy causes such as The Breast Cancer 3 Day events and are willing to put THEIR money where their mouth is instead of their customers!
