On 13 April I called Direct TV to get a cost comparison between them and Direct TV.in doing so, I asked if I would still be capable of receiving the LA and New York channels and was told yes. I was also informed that I had thirty days to compare without receiving any penalties.
After two days of service in the home, I discovered that I not only did I not have the New York and LA Channels, I did not have half the channels that I had with Dish Network.
I then called back to Direct Tv and informed them that I was mislead with what they told me and would like to have all the channels. I also reminded them what their sales person had told me about the thirty day comparison. I am now being told that if I want the LA and NY channels that I must put in a waiver, however they refuse to assist with the waiver.
I am also being told that I will be charged upwards of $300 dollars should I break the contract with them. As a soldier, I find it very disgusting. I did all the research between the two and Direct TV offered me channels that they were aware I could not get and instead of making good on the sale, they are basically telling me, sorry you received bad information from our supervisors but, too bad for you!!
