My wife and I had spent much time looking for a new bed for our Daughter and a bedroom set for ourselves. We happen tp stop at a newly opened Mattress Firm in Wollf Creek Plaza in Georgetown to check Mattress prices.
We ended up not only Buying a Mattress for our Daughter but we also bought a King bed fram and Night stand for ourselves. We would have purchased the complete bedroom set, but it was not in stock foe at least 2 to 3 weeks. The prices for the quality were excellent so this is why we bought them.
We confirmed with the Mattress Firm saleman if the delivery team could set up our headboard on our daughters bed that we had bought elsewhere on sale. The salesman asked why we could not do it ourselves and we explained that I had just gone through surgery and I am not allowed to do any bending twisting or lifting for 5 months.
The salesman stated that they could arrange for the delivery team to set up the twin headboard only if it was brand new with all the hardware and had never been used before. We explained to him that the twin headboard was brand new with all the hardware and had neverm been used or set up before. The salesman agreed to the set up of the twin headboard.
When we took delivery the delivery crew stated they could not set it up as it would be a liability to the store and to the delivery crew if they set up a product that was not purchased at Mattress Firm. I called the store and the salesman who answered stated there was nothing he could do for us and the crew could not set up the headboard.
The crew also broke part of our King bed frame and when I called to schedule the swap out they could not swap the piece until Thursday night or Friday morning. This is a problem as we had plans to go and visitr Houston for our childrens spring break. They again stated well if you can not be there on the available dates they could not help.
I then asked if we could sleep on the bed and they stated no do to no support on the one broken slat. I asked them where I was supposed to sleep as I had just had surgery and can not sleep on the floor.
They finally agreed to swap the broken king bed parts on Friday night so I could sleep, but still will not honor the Twin Head board set up that the salesman had agreed upon. I believe this salesman took advatage of my post surgery situation to make his sale, by lying about the crew being able to set up the headboard even though it is against company policy to set up furniture not purchased through the company.
