I checked my husbands credit a little over a week ago and saw he had one negative thing against him and it just happen to be a old sprint bill that had gone into collection with Alliedinterstate I was not sure what it was for being we did not cut the contract early and had done their phone buy back program and was told that should cover the final bill well I guess it did not and he still owed $61.45. We never received a letter from Sprint to pay this, I don't know why they have the address and the number is still the same being all we did was transfer it to another company.
But anyway so I contacted Alliedinterstate on my own but not before I did a little research on line about the company and read what a horrible company Alliedinterstate is and what horrible collection skills they have. Regardless I wanted this taken care of so I called Alliedinterstate 2/9/06 last Thursday to let them know I would be sending a check to take care of this matter and that it would be in the mail Friday 2/10/06. I called to verify the correct amount and mailing address, the gentleman on the phone at that time was nice. He did ask for my home phone number which we do not have so I told him we only use our cells and I do not wish to give that number out, especially after what I read about them online. The conversation ended and the next day I sent the check.
Wednesday 2/15/06 I receive a call from Alliedinterstate stating that I had spoke with them on the 9th I said I talked with someone last Thursday and he said no you spoke to someone on the 9th (ok Thursday was the 9th) at the time of the call I was not looking at a calendar so I did not know what date Thursday was the man proceeded to get rude and ask me if I was calling him a liar I said no but I only spoke to you all last Thursday and said I would send the check on Friday and that it had not even been a week since I had sent it he cut me short and said what ever mam keep up the games and then proceeded to hang up on me.
Keep in mind I called Alliedinterstate they did not call me they were to stupid to get my number and the only way they got it was by writing it down when I called them and I know this cause I asked how they got my number and he told me he had written it down when I called in.
