Don't pay these folks. They are scammers. Report was sent to (again, read this on another report on this site): Middle initial, First then last name (??)
"Final attempt to settle account". We have no debts—not even a car payment—other than our mortgage. Have never done business with "Mapnad Viatel Cons."
They are billing us (over and over again, via mail) for $11.73. The reason the amount is so low, we guess, is because they are trying to get our credit card number—notice they don't offer to let you send a check? I've filed a report on ftc. Gov, as recommended on another report on this site:
I suggest you do the same.
Haven't checked my credit report, but I'm guessing nothing will show up on it, as they threaten.
Also, we've called twice and tried to enter our account into their so-called automated system, but our BOSS account number was not recognized. "Call back later" it said, and hung up. REAL professional! Thank god we have a Vonage home phone and no longer go through the phone company, or they'd be calling us too to harrass us!
