My husband was contacted by a lisa smith from consumer network rewards. They told him that for only $4.95 shipping we would recieve a packet to read on a healthcare network.in return for reading this information we would recieve a $500.00 shopping spree. When my husband was told they wanted our bank account # he told them he had to discuss this with his wife, as he did not know the acount number. He recognized it as a scam.
Our local news has a segment about scam investigations, so I contacted them, and they want to do an interview, to make the public aware of this. I decided to do more research to find out what victims can do. Report to your local D. A's office, get the media involved, make people aware! This company is based out of India, so people can't take legal action on an individual basis. This needs to me made into a class action lawsuit. Please contact your local news team, so that no more people are victimized.
