American Antique & Specialty Woods
Ripoff, dishonest sales, contracted for a table to be made with required 50% down, after 21 months no table recieved

I ordered a table to be made by American Antique & Specialty Woods on 1/4/04. A required depoist of $768.50 (50% of the cost) was made on my Discover Card on 1/16/04. To date I have never received delivery of the table, and have asked for a refund which I have not recieved either.

I contacted the business many times with no progress or response. I contacted Discover Card for a refund, but they said since I already paid that months bill in full (another words I did not incur any interest charges) they could not help me.

I also contacted the Division of Comsummer Affairs Somerset County and they investigated this case for a few months, but have given up cause they were not getting any resonse form American Antiqie & Specialty Wood. Also the Investigator from Consumer Affairs told me that a man from California had called them asking about American Antique & Specialty Woods, as he had placed an order with them for $12,000 and had put 50% down as a deposit. Now American Antique & Specialty Woods are asking him for more money. I wonder how many other people this place as ripped off.
