Margaret Graham of Tender Loving Puppies had two solid red female Shih Tzu puppies for sale. On the evening of July 7, I contacted her by email about the darkest one. I asked her where she was located and she responded she lived in San Antonio, which was very close to where I live. I told her that I had a friend that lived close to her and could pick up the puppy for me. She never told me anything otherwise about where the puppy was located.
The next morning I had to drive to Oklahoma to pick up a different puppy from the airport. Because I would have no access to a computer or phone, I had that specific friend I told her about, contact her by email and by phone (more than once throughout the day) to let her know that I was going to buy that puppy when I arrived home that evening and to hold it for me. My friend asked her to please respond by either email or phone, and heard nothing back from Margaret the whole day.
When I arrived home that evening, I got an email from Margaret, stating that the puppy had been sold to someone else, but I could buy the other one. I was EXTREMELY hurt, but went ahead and paid the $1700 for the other lighter puppy.
After I had bought the puppy, I was informed by her friend, Stefanie White, of Priceless Pups, that the puppy was not Margarets, but hers. She said that she and Margaret had a 'deal' going between the two of them and the puppies were Stefanie's and WITH Stephanie, in Tacoma, Washington, but that Margaret was the one making the deal. I had to sign a contract with Margaret, and not Stefanie. The whole transaction was deceitful from the beginning.
However, Margaret was the one to send me pictures of the puppy from the 9th of July through the 17th of July. The puppy had a dark mask and was dark red.
Then, on the 17th of July, Stefanie (not Margaret) sent me a picture of 'my' puppy and it didn't have a black mask at all and looked very different from the photos that Margaret had sent me earlier.
I wrote Stefanie back and asked her to send me a picture of the two puppies side by side (plus the third puppy that she, herself, was keeping) so that I could see which one I was getting. I told her that the picture she sent me was not the same puppy as the pictures I had been receiving from Margaret. She sent me a picture ONLY of the first puppy I wanted and my puppy and NOT the third puppy I asked for.
I wrote her again and informed her that she didn't include the third puppy. Evidently I made her angry by asking for this picture and she was very offended by my asking for confirmation of the puppy I had bought for $1700.
Stefanie immediately called me on the phone and cussed me out and told me to never call or write to her again and that she wasn't going to deal with me anymore and to deal with Margaret instead. She was screaming at the top of her lungs and was very neurotic. She never gave me a chance to talk and immediately hung up after yelling at me. I tried to write her a month later, close to shipping time, and ask her about the paperwork that would be coming with the puppy on the plane, but she never returned my emails.
So, I wrote Margaret the same request, and she forwarded it to Stefanie, who AGAIN became EXTREMELY hostile and vicious in her emails and told me that she had blocked my emails and to never ask her anything again.
And not only was she hostile again, she refused to ship the puppy on the date that I asked for. She KNEW I had to drive four hours to get to the airport to pick it up and I was driving there on a Friday for another puppy. It would have made perfect sense to schedule the flight for this puppy the same day to prevent my having to stay overnight to get her puppy. But, she refused to ship that same day and not only that, she scheduled the flight for 10:38 the NEXT night, so I would have to stay TWO nights in a hotel or drive back both days and spend tons of gasoline and 16 hours of driving time to get both puppies.
I felt that I was deceived by both of these people from the beginning. Margaret was always cordial in her emails, but Stefanie acted like a wild, neurotic crazy woman that was on prozac. I will never deal with these two women again! And on a final note, the puppy that was supposed to be red (which is why I bought her for $1700) was beige/gold with black tips. If you deal with either one of these women, just make sure that they aren't working together on a deal or you will get screwed!
