I tendered my resignation with CVS on April 30th, giving 2 weeks notice, as overnight pharmacist. I took a job with another major chain competitor. The pharmacy supervisor, named David Posiadalla, has acted nothing but unprofessional, and down right childish since. He came to my store (the only time we met; "I don't have the time to meet with you" was all he ever told me) 2 days before and badgered me аbout:
A) Kmart; they're closing stores
b) CVS is the preferred employer pharmacists choose to work for, and
c) you can't give me that little time for your notice of resignation.
Not to mention, I transferred down thru CVS from Indiana to Florida to work, and was NOT compensated for moving expenses.
This supervisor, who is all of 27 years old, has not returned my phone calls, and actually hung up on me once. He's also been lying about me to my current co-workers and supervisor, who have which told him that they know he is lying.
I'm owed for 40 hours regular pay (36 hours worked 3rd shift plus 4 hours for overnight differential), and I still haven't been paid.
I'm thinking of calling a lawyer, but for what I'm supposed to be paid, I may have to go through small claims court. Is this true?
One of CVS's competitors put it best: CVS came and bought last place
