Like several others I was at home doing my own thing on March 22 when I got a knock at my door and a boy was selling magazines. He too, explained, in his bubbly personality, that he was trying to win a senior class trip to Cancun, Mexico and how he earned points for each magazine he sold. He also asked to come in to have a table to write on, but I knew better and told him to use the ledge on the porch rail. He then gave me the "bug off" sticker to put on my door so that no one else from "his class" would come to sell to me, which I didn't use and nobody came anyway.
So anyway, to make a long story short, I was "sucked into buying" one of these magazines and this is where my 2 problems come in... 1. He said that they would call me in a couple of weeks to make sure it was ok to cash my check-and big surprise, they didn't call... So he lied to me there and 2. I ordered a Cosmopolitan magazine and ended up getting a Cosmo girl! I'm a little old to be getting Cosmo girl now c'mon! So I looked up the phone number to PMI (and found it on this website-that should have been my first sign) and I called them to tell them I got the wrong magazine and they said that they don't even carry Cosmopolitan!!! What??? Some one is lying to me here too.
The salesboy showed me that they DID have Cosmopolitan which is the only reason I ordered one! And I specifically remember this because he wrote Cosmo Girl on the sales slip and I corrected him that I wanted Cosmopolitan so he scratched out Cosmo Girl and put Cosmopolitan. Please don't be a fool like I was, DO NOT fall for this scam and order from anyone at your door with this magazine offer.
