Former Executive Director Telling the Truth... Don't be spellbound!

I was in PPL for three years. I do give the company credit for motivating me to do more with my life. It was a good business school to learn about how network marketing can work for a few.

I followed the system layed out for me by the company. Get a list of my friends and family, have my up-line meet them in my home, recruit a few, repeat the process. I have no issue with this.

In a year and a half I reached the ED level.in six months I made over $22000! And then I missed qualification. I went two months more full time trying to requalify. I put my family in debt $6000. We were still running meetings in three different cities. I got a job. I was buried in charge backs so deep it took another six months to get myself out and I had to qualify bronze to do it. I made the level, got my second diamond, and couldn't wait for the money to roll in. My one month at Bronze we made $497. MORE CHARGEBACKS! My wife started hating the business.

I went to the national convention in OKC. I was told to walk across stage because of my bronze level, but don't attend the banquet because I no longer was a qualified ED. I asked a friend who was also an ED how many other people were broke, no longer qualifying, and walking across stage making crazy income claims. The answer was "lots, but what they don't know (associates) doesn't hurt them." I was shocked about what else I learned at that convention.

-Dave Savula, top money earner, has people in his downline that were in PPL BEFORE him. How does that happen? Think about it a minute and you'll get it.

-Many of the top money earners earned more from commissions paid from other companies than they did from their downlines!

We basically were no different other MLMS. I had thousands of people in my downline, was broke, and spending more every month on meetings and "tools" than I was making. I did this because I was taught that by the company.

Also, the membership left me stranded in a courtroom with no attourney even though I was there on a title 2 matter. The lawyers seemed indifferent to my needs.

I am no longer associated with the company Pre Paid Legal. I do not recommend their product because it does not work the way it is pitched. The identity theft can be found cheaper through Equifax.

Read the book Spellbound by Robert Styler for more on network marketing hype. I am currently in an MLM and support them. Just don't be a sheep. Be a shepard. -God Bless, Banditman
